Terms and Conditions
Before you sign up, please read this agreement thoroughly. By signing on to the class, you are accepting the terms and conditions of this agreement and will be bound by them. Your use of the lesson credits is governed by this agreement
1. Definition
In these Terms & Conditions, the following words and phrases shall bear the following meanings, unless the context requires otherwise:
- “We”, “our”, “us”, “Centre” means an entity which runs tuition / academic program or events under “De La Salle Education Pte Ltd”.
- “Parent / guardian” means the parent or guardian of the student enrolled in “De La Salle Education”.
- “Student” means the student who signs up for the tuition / academic program in “De La Salle Education”.
- “Academic year” means the academic year of the Centre which runs from 1st January to 31st December
- “Academic term” means the academic term of the Centre which is updated in the schedule on the yearly basis.
2. Tuition Fees and Payment Policy during Registration
- The general fee structure is described as follows:
- The tuition fees is payable termly or per lesson.
- There is a minimum amount of lesson that need to be purchased to enjoy discounted termly rate. (Stipulated in the price list)
- There is no deposit required.
- Tuition fees must be paid upon registration of the class.
- Tuition fees that have been paid is non-refundable.
- Payment of fees can be made via Cash, Bank transfer, PayNow or Cheque made payable to “De La Salle Education Pte Ltd”. Please indicate the student’s name and level on the reverse side of the Cheque for reference.
- The Centre reserves the right and the sole discretion to amend the price list.
3. Discount Policy
- Students are entitled a multiple subject discount on termly package fee (2 subjects – $50 off for every term)
- Any special prices or offers that are quoted for certain Students may not apply to others, unless with prior approval from the Centre.
4. Lesson Conduct and Schedule
- Student(s) will need to attend the lesson at the scheduled day and time upon registration.
- If the Student cannot turn up for class(es), the Student and/or Parent/Guardian need to inform us at least 4 hours in advance to cancel the class(es).
- If the Student is absent for any reasons, We allow the Student to arrange a make-up lesson on another day/ slot, subject to vacancies and availability.
- All lesson credits must be consumed by the Student enrolled and cannot be transferred to another Student.
- All lesson credits have to be consumed by the end of the Academic Year.
- The Centre reserves the right and sole discretion to amend the schedule at any time within the Academic year.
5. Welfare Policy
- The Centre will do their best to provide reasonable welfare of the Students while they are within the premises.
- The Centre is not obligated to provide food for Students. Parent(s)/ Guardian(s) will need to specify their request upon registration for special arrangement.
- The Centre assumes no liability for personal injury, loss or damage to property or any loss or damage of any kind whatsoever which might be sustained by the Student in undertaking any activity or anything during the class whether under the direction of the Centre or otherwise, and generally for any such injury, loss or damage howsoever caused except by the wilful default of the Centre.
- In the case where the student is not feeling well, Parent/ Guardian will be informed to bring the Student home immediately.
- In the case of the emergency, the Centre will provide reasonable care to send the Student to the nearest clinic.
6. Covid-19 Precaution and Policy
- All Visitors (including Student, Parent/ Guardian) will be required to do body temperature taking before entering the premises. In the case where the temperature exceeds the advisable limit from the Ministry of Health, the individual will be prohibited to enter the premises.
- All individual in the Centre must do their best to practice social distancing.
- All individual in the Centre must wear mask at all time.
- The Centre will do their best to provide clean and safe environment for the Students to study. Tables and chair will be disinfected regularly before and after the lesson.
- In the case where Student cannot attend the class due to Stay Home Notice or quarantine or safety issues, the Student can arrange the lesson with the teacher via an online platform (e.g. Zoom or Google Meet).
7. Intellectual Properties
- The Student and the Parent are not allowed to copy, reproduce, modify, distribute or transmit in any form or by any means whatsoever (including mechanical, electronic, recording, photocopying or otherwise) any of De La Salle Education’s curriculum material.
- The Centre may copy, reproduce, display, distribute and use any work / material produced by the Student for marketing purpose.
8. Others
- All costs incurred as a result of any damage, injury, loss, expense or liability that may be caused to public and/or private property by the Student will be paid by the Parent/ Guardian.
- The Centre reserves the right to amend the Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
